K’Andre Miller had surgery as the Rangers begin their offseason.

K’Andre Miller Undergoes Surgery

K’Andre Miller, a defenseman for the Rangers, recently had surgery on an upper body injury sustained late in the 2024-25 season.

Initially, he tried to rehabilitate the injury privately but eventually concluded that surgery was the best path forward.

According to sources in the league, he is expected to recover fully and is likely to be back at the start of the next season.

At just 25 years old, this marks Miller’s fifth season in the Rangers’ blues, during which he recorded seven goals and 20 assists, totaling 27 points over 74 games.

Since making his NHL debut on January 14, 2021, he has consistently averaged over 20 minutes of playtime in each season.

With a new contract on the horizon, his recent injury might not enhance his appeal as a trade target, particularly if Rangers’ president and general manager Chris Drury considers that route.

However, with arbitration rights, Miller should be a priority for the Rangers as they navigate the remaining offseason activities.
