Kansas City Chiefs fans tackle man they suspected opened fire during Super Bowl parade: ‘I got the gun’

Video taken during the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl victory rally in Missouri shows a group of people tackling a man believed to be one of the gunmen who opened fire during Wednesday’s celebration.

The shooting left one person dead and 22 injured, nine of them children. A total of 11 children between the ages of 6 and 15 were injured, according to Children’s Mercy Hospital. Children are expected to survive.

Videos circulating on social media showed scores of people running from the scene after gunshots rang out, including a man wearing a gray sweatshirt. The man was then brought down by a group of fans.

In another video shot by Alyssa Marsh Contreras, a law enforcement officer was seen standing over a person and handcuffing him.

Then one of the guys nearby said, “I got tackled.”

The woman echoed the man’s comment, saying, “Yeah, he tackled me.”

“I tackled him and the gun went off,” the man added.

Another man was heard saying, “I got a gun.”

Kansas City police on Wednesday arrested a man who was tackled by a Chiefs fan after shots were fired near a victory parade, but it’s unclear whether the man actually fired the gun.

The video was then shown to officers, who arrested the man wearing what appeared to be a gray hooded sweatshirt.

It is unclear whether the person who was tackled and arrested by police was involved in the shooting.

Fox News Digital reached out to Marsh Contreras for more information.

Kansas City Police Chief Stacey Graves said in a press conference that the incident is still under investigation, but that she heard a fan was involved and tackled someone.

Three people have been arrested so far in connection with the shooting.
