White House Press Director Challenges Media Coverage After Texas Shooting

Karoline Leavitt, the White House press director, criticized liberal media in connection with a tragic shooting incident at a Texas immigration and customs facility on Wednesday.

The incident in Dallas left one detainee dead and two others injured. Responding officers discovered the deceased individual, believed to be the shooter, on a nearby rooftop.

“They quickly produce misleading stories about ICE, often portraying it negatively, and they seldom highlight the dangerous criminals that ICE apprehends daily to enhance our nation’s safety,” Leavitt stated.

She pointed to how CNN provided free publicity for applications that share the locations of ICE agents, which she deemed irresponsible. Social Media

Leavitt further claimed that the shooter had used one of these apps to access a list of ICE locations in Texas and a “search app that tracks ICE agents.”

CNN has faced accusations of promoting such apps that allegedly incite protests and violence against federal agents.

“Every day we see this trend—they craft false narratives about ICE while neglecting the real stories of the criminals it apprehends to keep our nation secure,” she concluded.
