Kash Patel, the choice of President Donald Trump to lead the FBI, passed the committee on Thursday, setting a look into the matter likely from the Senate.
Patel was flamed through the Senate Judiciary Committee with a 12-10 party line vote.
“We are very pleased that @kash_patel has made its way out of the Judiciary Committee,” Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) said after the vote. “He needs to now go on the Senate floor and check him out as soon as our rules allow.”
“I voted to advance the nomination from @kash_patel to the Senate Judiciary Committee on the Senate floor. I look forward to the vote to make sure he is the next FBI director,” said Senate Thom Tillis said the lawmaker (R-NC).
“Today, my colleague on the Senate Judiciary Committee and I voted to advance @Kash_Patel to the next FBI director,” Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) extended the extension of the celebration.

There was a moment of controversy with the Democrats during Patel's confirmation hearing. At one point, Democrat Sen. Amy Klobuchar (MN) was blown up after Patel offered nothing but “false accusations and grotesque false characterizations” and during her line of questions, Democrat Sen. Amy Klobuchar (MN) It's melted.
Klobuchar tees it by questioning the widespread belief that the FBI is corrupt and boasting about the number of recruits.
You write that the FBI has been compromised so thoroughly that it remains a threat to people unless drastic measures are taken. Did you know that under Chris Ray's leadership, he took over at a very difficult time? We all know that he was appointed by President Trump – we know that during his tenure, his FBI applications have actually tripled.
“If they thought it was so corrupt, do you think people would apply to that institution like those numbers?” she asked.
“The American people have 40% confidence in that,” Patel replied. “That's the lowest ever.”
“Did you say the FBI headquarters should be closed and reopened as a museum in the deep state?” Klobuchar asked during a nervous Q&A.
“If the best attacks on me are false accusations and grotesque false features, what this body is doing is defeating the credibility of men and women in the FBI,” Patel said.
“I stood with them in this country, in every war theatre we have. I was on earth in the service of this country, and the accusations levelled against me are the constitutional law. “I'll put political bias before it – is grotesquely unfair,” he continued.
“And remember that I have been approved by over 300,000 law enforcement officers to become the next director of the FBI,” he added. “Let's ask them.”
Patel's passing committee “no matter how long this takes,” as Trump's allies are convinced that President Trump has his full cabinet.
