Kash Patel and Dan Bongino assert that Jeffrey Epstein died by suicide.

In a recent interview with Maria Bartiromo, FBI Director Kash Patel and Deputy Director Dan Bongino stated that Jeffrey Epstein committed suicide while in a Manhattan prison. Epstein was discovered dead in his cell at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in New York during August 2019. At that time, he was awaiting trial on federal sex trafficking charges involving minors. His passing quickly sparked a multitude of conspiracy theories, with many suggesting he was murdered to shield powerful individuals linked to him.

Epstein had connections with notable figures like former President Bill Clinton, Noam Chomsky, and Prince Andrew. The phrase “Epstein didn’t kill himself” became a widely shared meme online after his death. However, when Bartiromo pressed the issue, Patel asserted that Epstein’s death was indeed a suicide. He recalled, “As someone who worked as a public defense counsel and prosecutor in that prison system, I know that when you see it, you committed suicide,” while acknowledging that dissenting opinions were valid.

Continuing, Bongino affirmed Patel’s statement, saying, “He committed suicide. I saw the entire file,” reinforcing the suicide narrative. A resurgence of interest among conservatives began in February, particularly with the release of documents tied to Epstein’s case. Critics expressed disappointment, noting that the documents did not reveal the much-discussed “client list” or provide any new insights into his alleged sex trafficking operations.

Further complicating the narrative, Rep. Anna Paulina Luna from Florida mentioned on social media that the recently released Epstein documents amounted to little more than a phone book.

In response to growing backlash, Attorney General Pam Bondi told Sean Hannity in March that the Justice Department had acquired “thousands of pages” of additional documents from the Southern District of New York, indicating that a comprehensive report from the FBI would be forthcoming. However, no such reports have surfaced thus far.

In another troubling development, Virginia Giuffre, a key accuser in the Epstein case and associated with Prince Andrew, died by suicide in April. Giuffre had been a prominent advocate, alleging that she was forced into sexual encounters with Andrew during her teenage years.
