Kate Beckinsale is tired of being criticized online for the weight loss that led to her mysterious hospitalization for several weeks in March.
On Monday, Beckinsale took to Instagram to share a video of herself in a revealing outfit, calling some of the users who viewed her recent post “idiots” and revealing the real reason behind her recent weight loss.
“Cheers to the fools. Cheers to the idiots. Cheers to the scum,” Beckinsale captioned a video of herself wearing a pink T-shirt, pink underwear and black platform boots.

according to Page 6, Responding to her “that guy ran away” comment, Beckinsale wrote, “No, actually. My stepdad… [director Roy Battersby] “I had a very devastating death, my mother had stage 4 cancer and I lost a lot of weight very quickly from the stress and grief.”

Kate wrote that grief and the pain from the loss of her stepfather and her mother’s cancer diagnosis left her in hospital for six weeks after a “burning hole” in her esophagus and caused her to vomit copious amounts of blood.

The movie star continued, “I had a really hard time eating and it had the theme of my father’s death so I just worked really hard on a movie that was actually pretty shocking, so I don’t really care what people think about my…”

Kate ended her heated message to Instagram users by saying: “Maybe you should worry about your f**k. Maybe you should stick a big pineapple or a brick or something in there.”

On March 11, Beckinsale revealed that she had been hospitalized while showing her love to her mother on Mother’s Day in the UK.

Along with pictures of her mother, Beckinsale also posted pictures of herself in a hospital bed wearing a hospital gown, which have since been deleted.
