Kate Gosselin Reflects on Life as a Pediatric Nurse
Kate Gosselin recently shared insights about her busy days working as a pediatric nurse, detailing her much-occupied 12-hour shifts. “Today was hectic. I spent the entire 12 hours with my patient, and we did a lot together,” she explained to her followers on social media. They enjoyed swinging, attending birthday parties, and even played underwater. “My patients really love being outside,” she noted, adding that she handled all the medical needs and bathing during her shift.
While many fans commended her strong work ethic, one individual raised a question about the financial outcome of her previous work on a reality show.
Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson Discusses TLC Show Earnings
In another related note, Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson stated that she has never seen any of the revenue generated from her own reality show on TLC.
Kate expressed pride in funding her children’s university education, mentioning the support she provides for eight kids. “Honestly? I’m happy to help them with their education,” she stated, emphasizing that she’s taken care of university fees and legal expenses. “I could have saved more for retirement if not for the lawyers, but I’m helping other families too, and that feels important.”
Kate first gained public attention through the TLC reality series “Jon & Kate Plus 8,” which chronicled her and her then-husband Jon managing their eight children. The show aired from 2007 until 2009, concluding amidst the couple’s divorce. Following that, she starred in a spin-off titled “Kate Plus 8,” showcasing her experiences as a single mother.
A comment from a viewer pointed out the stark contrast between her current life and the one depicted on the show, wondering if she misses any aspect of that past experience.
She mentioned missing her home in Pennsylvania but remarked that she primarily misses the moments before having so many children. “It wasn’t stressful; it was just… well, they were so cute,” she reflected, recalling how long the days felt during simpler times.
After the divorce, Kate was awarded sole physical custody of all eight children. However, it was revealed later that one of the sextuplets, Hannah, lived with Jon, while he had limited contact with the others.
In 2018, Jon was granted temporary custody of another child due to behavioral issues that required him to transfer to a different school at age 12. Recently, Colin alleged that his mother was “physically aggressive and verbally abusive.” He shared an account of his difficult living conditions, stating that his mother built a room in the storage cellar, equipped with a camera and bolted from the outside.
Kate’s lawyer responded to the claims, stating, “She doesn’t want to engage as she believes this is being taken out of context. The facts will speak for themselves. No comment will change the past.” He emphasized the belief in truth, suggesting that the record is what matters.
Colin has recently posted emotional reflections about their broken family dynamic, saying he still cares deeply for his siblings despite their current distance.
It’s all rather complex, isn’t it? Life can change so drastically, and yet, the bonds of family often remain, albeit strained. It feels like there’s so much more beneath the surface, and at times, it’s hard to navigate those feelings.
