Kathy Griffin has revealed that she recently had her third facelift, drawing attention with her latest appearance.
During an episode of her podcast, she shared insights about her plastic surgery. In a chat with the Daily Mail, she described how her face looked quite “nervous” after the procedure.
“This is my third, yes,” she mentioned, referring to her facelift, during a podcast episode titled “Talk Your Head Off” on Tuesday.
Griffin credited Dr. Ben Tali, a Beverly Hills-based plastic surgeon, for her results.
She humorously acknowledged her vanity, saying, “I know it’s a lot of waste! I’m being vain for no reason. You don’t go to Kathy Griffin’s shows to see a perfectly youthful face.” She indicated that, perhaps, it’s more about the jokes than the appearance.
In addition to the facelift, she also worked on her eyelids and chin. Griffin noted that the recovery was quite challenging.
In another segment of the Daily Mail, she remarked on feeling “very tight” while out for a walk, which added to the buzz around her recent looks—especially since she was caught without makeup or styled hair.
“I think I’ve just been photographed a lot because I’m alive,” she said, reflecting on the paparazzi attention she receives during workouts near her Malibu home. “And when you’re at a certain age and not wearing makeup, it’s no surprise that they snap your picture.” She joked about how taut her skin seemed.
Griffin, who has been candid about her cosmetic procedures over the years—including getting a nose job at 26—revealed how that experience shaped her views on beauty. “I was often told, ‘If it weren’t for that nose, you’d be more attractive. Have you considered fixing it?'” she recalled, emphasizing how such comments impacted her self-image.
She also opened up about her struggles with body image and the serious complications she faced from liposuction, sharing that the experience was almost fatal.
Reflecting on her television career, Griffin noted, “I was never thin enough; I was told the clothes I wore could only handle a certain size. It took a toll on me.”
