California Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Katie Porter said Wednesday that her California primary election was rigged by an “onslaught of billionaires” after losing to her Democratic opponent, Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.). suggested that it was done.

Progressive Democrats failed to win a single county and won just under 14% of the state overall. She finished with a nearly 20-point lead over both Schiff and Republican candidate Steve Garvey, placing third in Orange County, which she has represented since 2019.

In a post on “The regime is cowering as it withstands the onslaught of violence.”

He said the results show Californians are “hungry for leaders who break the mold, won’t be bought and demand accountability from our government and our economy as a whole.”

“Because the way politics is today, special interests control politicians,” she says. “As we’ve seen in this campaign, they spend millions of dollars trying to undermine their influence and defeat those who disrupt the status quo.”

Former President Trump was frequently criticized for overusing the word “fraud” after losing the 2020 presidential election to President Biden.

Fox News Digital has reached out to Porter and Schiff’s campaign offices for additional comment. Mr. Garvey declined to respond.

Porter himself has received millions of dollars from major donors to boost his campaigns, even though he touts a record of not accepting money from corporate PACs. She reportedly accepted thousands of dollars in contributions from major Wall Street donors, according to federal campaign finance disclosures.

In California, where Republicans outnumber registered Democrats by about 2 to 1, all candidates regardless of party participate on the same primary ballot, and the two candidates who receive the most votes are elected to the general election.
