The woke left continues to attack Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker for defending traditional Christian values. He receives some support from his boss’s wife, Tavia Hunt.
Mr. Butker has come under fire for speaking at a commencement ceremony at Benedictine University in Kansas, where he urged graduates to live up to traditional Christian ideals of marriage, family and loyalty. He urged female graduates to prioritize family life over career and told male graduates to embrace their masculinity. He further added that his own wife would say that her life as a wife and mother was much more fulfilling than her career.
But the left is trying to walk back Butker’s comments as offensive, misogynistic and homophobic, even though the long-standing values that built this country are normal every day. .

Butker has found one supporter who could weigh in with his boss, Chiefs owner Clark Hunt.
Hunt’s wife Tavia, a former Miss Missouri Teen USA and Miss Kansas USA, posted a message on social media that may help Butker as he faces criticism.
Although Tavia Hunt did not mention Butker by name, she posted a long message on Instagram supporting the very same traditional values that Butker spoke about in her commencement address.
Tavia Hunt posted on Instagram on Thursday her thoughts on the ideals Butker spoke of at Benedictine, even though he has faced intense criticism.
“I have always encouraged my daughters to get a good education and follow their dreams. I want them to know that they can do whatever they want (in honor of God).” she wrote in a social media post. “But I also know that I believe that finding a spouse who loves and respects you as much or more than you do, and raising a family together, is one of the greatest blessings this world has to offer.” Research shows that committed couples with children are the happiest demographic, and this has been my experience as well.
She went on to say:
It is not prejudice to affirm motherhood, praise wives, and emphasize the sacrifice and dedication it takes to become a mother. It is empowering to acknowledge that women’s hard work in raising children is not in vain. Countless highly educated women dedicate their lives to raising and mentoring their children. Just because someone disagrees with you doesn’t mean you hate them. It just means they have different opinions. Celebrate family, motherhood, and fatherhood. Our society desperately needs dedicated men and women to nurture the next generation and train them in the path they should take. Proverbs 31:28 says, “Her children will rise up and call her blessed. Her husband, too, and he will praise her. “Many women do noble deeds. But you are above them all.” Embracing the beautiful role God has created for you is something to celebrate.
Also, be careful not to take things (or parts of the speech) out of context. A soundbite layered with hateful comments is not what we want to model for our children or others. We need less hate and more dialogue (and values, IMO) in this country.
Along with Tavia, Clark Hunt’s daughter Gracie also came to support traditional Christian values and fully understand the motivations of women who want to start a family and stay home with their children instead of pursuing a career. he told Fox News. family exclusion.

So Mr. Butker appears to have allies, at least behind the scenes, who support traditional values. And that could be an obstacle for those who want the Chiefs to denounce Butker’s views.
