Boulder Terror Attack and Political Blame Game
In the aftermath of the terrorist attacks in Boulder, Colorado, a left-wing commentator, Keith Olbermann, has placed blame squarely on President Trump and the Maga movement. He argues that the administration’s immigration policies are driven by “sadism,” suggesting they serve Trump’s and Stephen Miller’s interests.
On Tuesday, promoting his latest episode of Countdown, Olbermann criticized Trump, stating that the president and his associates bear direct responsibility for the recent Boulder attacks.
In a clip shared on social media, he asserted, “It’s Trump’s fault, Stephen Miller’s fault, and the Maga movement’s fault,” referencing an attack that targeted participants at a rally in support of Israeli hostages in Gaza.
He continued, “Efforts to remove so-called illegal immigrants do nothing to prevent terrorism or crime. They simply feed into the sadism of Trump, Miller, and their supporters.” He characterized this as a form of ethnic cleansing, cloaked as a setback for immigration reform.
Olbermann’s post contended that Trump is using the Boulder attack to shift blame. He stated, “If you target people on the streets, you create a false sense of security. This isn’t about protecting the vulnerable.”
The attack on Park Street Mall in Boulder has resulted in multiple injuries and is currently under investigation by local law enforcement and federal agencies, including the FBI. Authorities have identified the suspect, Mohamed Sabri Soliman, as a foreign national living in the U.S. without proper legal status.
Reports indicate that he allegedly threw Molotov cocktails at those attending a pro-Israel Walk advocating for hostages held by Hamas. Witnesses and footage reveal the attackers shouting anti-Zionist slogans.
On Monday, Trump responded emphatically to the weekend’s events, condemning the attack and linking it to the Biden administration’s “open border” policies. He referred to the incident as “terrorism” and called for the immediate deportation of “illegal and anti-American extremists.”
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also condemned the act, labeling it a “malicious terrorist attack.” He warned that such incidents might exacerbate global anti-Semitism, reflecting negatively on the Jewish state.
Amid the controversy, criticisms are surfacing that mainstream media and activists on the far left have fueled animosity towards Jews by spreading misinformation and demonizing Israel.
