Kelly Clarkson Speaks Out Against Body Criticism

Kelly Clarkson is standing firm against those who think they can dictate what she should do with her body. Recently, she shared a memory from her Las Vegas residency, “Kelly Clarkson: Studio Sessions,” where her former manager urged her to consider getting breast implants.

During a show, Clarkson recounted, “One day, my manager told me to get a boob job. I thought, ‘Why don’t I try to get a job?’ What? I’m fine with a tiny T-shirt! Get out of here,” drawing laughter and applause from the audience.

She proceeded to question the crowd, “Who said that?” reinforcing her point about societal pressures. Clarkson noted, “People say things like that. I often tell folks in the industry, ‘This is not normal. You’ve normalized the crazy.’ Don’t make me do that. I prefer my little T-shirt.” She expressed satisfaction with her body and the choices she makes.

In 2020, Clarkson had even joked about her promotional photos for “The Voice,” which seemed to imply she had undergone changes rather than emphasizing her true self. “This is what I feel like when I play with my boobs 🤣 I don’t know why my boobs look so big in this photo, but thank the universe for this one, ha! Finally!” she humorously wrote at the time.

Clarkson’s rise to fame began back in 2002 when she won the first season of “American Idol.” Later on, she served as a judge on “The Voice” for several seasons. This month, she’s continuing her Las Vegas residency and plans to perform again next summer.

On November 8, 2025, Clarkson returned to the stage for the first time after the death of her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock. They were married from 2013 to 2022 and share two children, River Rose and Remington Alexander.

Clarkson had to postpone performances earlier this month due to a family emergency concerning Blackstock. His family later released a touching statement announcing his passing after a lengthy battle with cancer, noting he passed surrounded by loved ones.

Following the tragic news, Clarkson resumed her talk show, “The Kelly Clarkson Show,” on September 8, with its seventh season premiering on September 29.

Recently, she announced her return to the Las Vegas stage and that four new shows are planned for next August, encouraging fans to come see her perform.
