Kelly Osbourne Addresses Health Rumors About Ozzy Osbourne
Kelly Osbourne is setting the record straight regarding her father, Ozzy Osbourne’s health status.
On Friday, the 40-year-old TV personality took to her Instagram story to tackle recent online rumors suggesting that her iconic father, who is 76, is nearing the end of his life due to various health issues.
“There’s a video making the rounds, supposedly of my dad, but it’s actually AI,” Kelly explained to her followers.
She added, “It sounds like my dad or maybe David Attenborough or something. Then it goes, ‘I say I’m going to die, I don’t need a doctor. I’m going to die.’
Kelly expressed her frustration, saying, “What’s wrong with you people? Why waste your time making videos like this?”
The former “Fashion Police” co-host emphasized that her father “doesn’t die.”
While she acknowledged his diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease and how it has impacted his mobility, she made it clear that he is still alive and fighting.
Kelly also spoke out against speculation suggesting that her parents had made a “suicide agreement.” She recounted her mother telling her it was a way to get attention. “My dad won’t die. Just stop it,” she asserted.
In 2007, Sharon Osbourne had previously mentioned plans regarding assisted suicide if either her or Ozzy developed Alzheimer’s disease.
Ozzy announced his Parkinson’s diagnosis in 2020, which affects movement and can lead to tremors and stiffness—something Kelly noted still has no cure.
The legendary musician has undergone several surgeries, particularly after a serious spinal cord injury in 2019.
In November 2023, Ozzy commented that he has “at most ten years left.” Currently, he relies on a wheelchair but recently gave a memorable final concert with Black Sabbath in Birmingham, England.
That event, attended by 42,000 fans, featured appearances by other musical legends, and after the final performance, Ozzy celebrated with a cake and fireworks.
Interestingly, during the event, Kelly got engaged to her boyfriend Sid Wilson, sharing a special moment with her family behind the scenes.
