Kelly Osbourne is hoping her past drug and alcohol use will “embalm” her body so she won’t get cancer.
The 39-year-old TV personality revealed that there is a history of the deadly disease in her family and she does not want to suffer the same fate.
“I want to embalm myself and make sure I don’t get cancer,” Osborne said.“The Osbournes Podcast” “I was definitely intoxicated from drugs and alcohol.”
Jack Osbourne interjected, “I don’t think it would work that way, but I’m not a doctor.”

Kelly noted that her mother, Sharon Osbourne, battled colon cancer in the 2000s.
“I hear a lot about parental favoritism,” she added.
Sharon was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2002 and is currently in remission. The TV star ultimately underwent a double mastectomy after tests revealed she carried the “breast cancer gene.”

Osbourne has struggled with substance abuse for many years and has spoken publicly about how she began using drugs.
“I kept getting sick and got really bad tonsillitis and ended up having to have some really tough surgery and then I was prescribed Vicodin,” she said.Red Table Talk“And that was all I needed.”

“I had all these voices in my head telling me, ‘You’re fat, you’re ugly, you’re not good enough, no one likes you, you don’t deserve this, it’s only because of your parents that people like you.’ And suddenly, all those voices fell silent, and it felt like life just embraced me.”
Eventually, Osbourne turned to a variety of drugs, including heroin.
“I thought, ‘Why am I so confident?’ And I quickly switched from Vicodin to Percocet and then from Percocet to heroin, because heroin was cheaper,” she said.

Osbourne relapsed with drugs in 2021 after four years of sobriety.
“This is a bit painful for me to talk about, but I have committed to always be honest about where I am and what’s going on in my recovery,” Osbourne acknowledged on her Instagram Story at the time. “I have relapsed. I’m not proud of it, but I am back on track.”
She first became sober in 2017.
