Kelly Osbourne's last vow to her father Ozzy before he passed away.

Kelly Osborne is reportedly doing her utmost to honor a promise she made to her father, Ozzy Osborne, as he nears the end of his life.

“It’s been a tough few days, but Kelly is working closely with her mother on some plans,” a source shared with the Daily Mail on Thursday.

“I was in tears, of course, but she promised that her father expressed a desire to celebrate his life rather than focus on mourning.”

Sources indicate that Ozzy, who passed away last Tuesday at age 76, always encouraged a mindset of celebrating life experiences rather than dwelling on past mistakes.

Kelly, now 40, is striving to stay strong and composed, yet concerns linger for her and her brother regarding the emotional toll this will take. Their mother, Sharon Osborne, was married to the rock star for 43 years.

“They were quite a unique pair,” the source mentioned, and added, “It’s heartbreaking to see them part ways.”

Sharon, who is 72, displayed visible anguish during her late husband’s funeral procession on Wednesday, which moved through Birmingham, their hometown.

The hearse, carrying the former Black Sabbath frontman, made its way along Broad Street to landmarks associated with the band.

While Kelly seeks to uphold her strength during this trying time, both she and her brother Jack are reportedly apprehensive about what lies ahead. They, alongside Sharon, formed part of the cortege, but exited the vehicle in tears at one point to pause at a bench.

Sharon was emotionally supported by Kelly and Jack as she wept, holding onto a floral tribute arranged with pink flowers in black wrapping.

The emotional gathering, which later included Ozzy’s other children—50-year-old son Louis and 41-year-old daughter Amy—faced the crowd and offered a peace sign before returning to their vehicle.

This event, which occurred prior to a smaller, private funeral, was reportedly supported by the Osbourne family.

Ozzy had been dealing with Parkinson’s disease and the aftereffects of a severe quad bike accident in 2003, though the exact cause of his death remains undisclosed.

His family expressed their sorrow shortly after paramedics attempted to resuscitate him for hours, stating, “It’s with great sadness that we report the passing of our cherished Ozzy Osbourne this morning. He was surrounded by family and love.”

They requested respect for the family’s privacy during this difficult time: “Sharon, Jack, Kelly, Amy, and Louis need space for grief.”

“I think I’m really sad. I’ve lost my best friend,” Kelly shared with her followers on Instagram.

Sharon appeared visibly upset during the funeral procession in Birmingham on Wednesday.

Kelly was also seen struggling to hold back tears during the emotional moments.

As Ozzy and Sharon returned to England in 2023 to begin what they called “their final chapter,” his health was reportedly already in a delicate state.

Together, they had three children: Amy, Kelly, and Jack. Ozzy also had a son, Louis, from his prior marriage to Thelma Riley. He shares a daughter, Jessica, aged 45, and another son, Elliot Kingsley, from earlier relationships.
