Podcast Changes Amid Controversy
Recently, Kelly Stafford’s podcast has seen some shifts. In the latest episode of “Next Morning“, she addressed allegations against her co-host Hank Winchester, who had some serious accusations leveled against him after an incident at her home in June linked to a sexual misconduct investigation.
Stafford, who is married to Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, acknowledged the changes, saying, “The show has looked a bit different lately. Summer can be demanding. I’ve been traveling a lot, and Hank is going through some personal matters. We ask for your patience with that.”
Winchester has appeared on the show less frequently after the allegations surfaced, stepping back from his usual co-host role.
On June 13, authorities executed a search warrant at Winchester’s home, seizing electronic devices. He was accused of making inappropriate sexual advances during a massage, according to reports.
Winchester, a seasoned reporter for WDIV Local 4 in Detroit, has been on administrative leave since June 18 as investigations continue. His lawyer stated, “Hank has spent decades bringing truth to our community and fighting for our citizens. He has a prominent role, and sometimes that attracts false accusations. This investigation will clarify everything.”
Winchester joined the Stafford podcast in 2023 after meeting Matthew Stafford, who played for the Detroit Lions for over a decade before being traded to the Rams in 2021. During Winchester’s absence, Matthew has joined Kelly regularly on the podcast.
In her latest comments, Stafford hinted at a potential return for Winchester. “The NFL season is around the corner,” she noted. “You’ll probably see a lot more of us. It’s quite a busy time.”
