Ken Jennings Critiques Trump Administration on Social Media

Ken Jennings, the host of “Danger!”, recently expressed his criticisms of former President Donald Trump and his administration on the social media platform Blue Sky. He stated that he would support any candidates in the 2028 election who are willing to prosecute the current “regime.”

This commentary came during a news cycle heavily focused on a shooting in Minneapolis involving ICE. Jennings remarked that he would vote for candidates who “indict the previous administration at every level.”

His views extended to Trump’s policy on Venezuela, where he described America’s attitude toward regime changes as, “Okay, but the next regime change will be fine,” likening it to his own attempts at temporary New Year’s resolutions, like going “carb-free.”

Jennings has previously stirred controversy, including a now-deleted tweet that mocked Trump’s then-11-year-old son, Barron. He represented Barron’s reaction to a controversial photo involving Kathy Griffin, implying a misunderstanding about family matters. Initially, Jennings defended his tweet, claiming it was aimed at mocking Barron’s use as political cover rather than at the boy himself.

As someone who hosts a widely recognized game show, Jennings has a history of liberal commentary. In 2017, he faced backlash for the Barron tweet and related comments, and in 2020, he reflected on his past social media missteps, apologizing for remarks he deemed insensitive or poorly articulated.

His latest comments seem to reflect growing tensions around issues of domestic terrorism, referencing the Department of Homeland Security’s reaction to the recent Minneapolis shooting. Critics have raised concerns about the actions of the officer involved, suggesting excessive force was used against protesters.
