Throughout his career, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has made controversial, inflammatory, and sometimes untrue statements that have offended people on the left and right.
Whether it’s declaring that people are more likely to be killed in red states or running an anti-vaccination movement, the senator’s son is running a bizarre campaign.
But his approval rating is around 8% to 10%, thanks to a magical last name that makes certain voters think he’s still a Democrat. If that holds up, he’ll be in serious spoiler territory.
However, it has now been revealed that Kennedy was hiding a serious medical condition.

When I saw it for the first time, new york times When I saw the headlines on this subject, I wondered if an independent candidate had belatedly brought these issues to light. No, it’s not. This article is based on reporting by Suzanne Craig.
According to 2012 testimony, RFK Jr. was called in by doctors at New York Presbyterian Hospital after doctors noticed black dots on his brain scan and complained of memory loss and mental fogginess. The doctor said he believed Kennedy’s head contained the remains of a dead parasite.
RFK recalled that her doctor told her that the abnormality was caused by an insect that entered her brain and ate part of it.
I don’t know about you, but I’d like to know if a presidential candidate had part of his brain eaten by a bug.
This is surprising information, very disturbing, and clearly the subject of ridicule. He told the Times several months ago that he had recovered from memory loss without treatment.
The blunt withholding of this and other illnesses raises worrying questions about hiding health problems from the public.
RFK contacted some of the same neurologists who had treated and consulted his uncle, Ted Kennedy, before he died of brain cancer the previous year.
We have others, too. Not only has RFK suffered from atrial fibrillation for decades, but he has also been hospitalized four times for arrhythmia. He told the Times in a previous interview that he had not had an A-fib case in more than 10 years.

President Kennedy was also diagnosed with mercury poisoning. He blamed the problem on eating too much fish contaminated with metals. This can also cause serious neurological problems.
This shouldn’t be a one-day story. No one should interview RFK without bringing up his failure to disclose these serious medical issues.
Kennedy’s campaign refused to release his medical records. Unfortunately, the team of Joe Biden and Donald Trump did the same thing during this campaign.
The paper points out that RFK goes out of his way to project an energetic image, including skiing with Olympic gold medalists and lifting weights shirtless. Good for him. However, that may be hiding his true condition.

Asked if President Kennedy, 70, was unfit to be president due to health issues, a spokesman for President Kennedy, 70, said: “That’s a ridiculous proposition, given the competition.” He said it was a clear attack on Trump. .

Some past presidents hid serious medical problems, including President JFK, who suffered from Addison’s disease, malfunctioning adrenal glands that produce important hormones, and debilitating back pain that initially prevented him from serving in the military. There are some people. But standards have changed, requiring candidates to be more candid.

The only reason we know about his nephew’s problems is the testimony brought during his divorce with his second wife. RFK claimed that her earning capacity had diminished due to cognitive impairment.

The question is whether this type of deception will be tolerated by leading candidates.
