Kenyon Sadik Celebrates Jets Selection

Former Oregon tight end Kenyon Sadik shared a joyful moment with his family and girlfriend Addison Osta after being picked by the Jets as the 16th overall choice in the 2026 NFL Draft.

Osta posted a picture on her Instagram Story showing Sadik in her living room, proudly wearing a Jets cap. She captioned it, “My baby is Jett!!!!!!!!”

Sadik showed genuine emotion when he received a call from Jets general manager Darren Mousey, who excitedly announced the team’s plans to bolster their offense with him. Sadik, initially skeptical, thought he might be the target of a prank.

“Are you going to come here and be a weapon for us?” Mousey asked before passing the phone to head coach Aaron Glenn.

“Listen, I was going to bring you here, and you would be a great asset to us,” Glenn reassured him.

With a chuckle, Sadik responded, “I thought it was a prank call or a second time, but no, thank you.”

Glenn added, “Believe me, you’ve been a target of ours for some time.”

Jets owner Woody Johnson expressed his excitement while informing Sadik that offensive coordinator Frank Reich was thrilled about the selection, even jumping for joy.

“I’m so happy I can’t breathe right now,” Reich said, emphasizing that this decision would be a significant benefit for both Sadik and the team.

Last season, Sadik caught 51 passes for 560 yards and scored eight touchdowns for the Ducks, earning recognition as a second-team All-American. Standing at 6-foot-3 and weighing 241 pounds, he impressed with a 4.39-second 40-yard dash at the NFL combine.

The Jets had an eventful first round in Pittsburgh, also selecting former Texas Tech edge David Bailey with the second overall pick and trading for Indiana wide receiver Omar Cooper Jr. at the 30th pick.

The second and third rounds of the NFL Draft are set for Friday, with rounds four through seven taking place on Saturday.
