Kevin O'Leary comments on the small Trump-Musk dispute: 'Who cares?'

Kevin O’Leary Weighs in on Trump-Musk Feud

Investor Kevin O’Leary, known for his role on “Shark Tank,” has shared his thoughts on the ongoing tension between President Trump and Elon Musk, suggesting that the two influential figures “really need each other” and will likely find a way to reconcile.

In a recent interview with Fox News on “Jesse Watters Primetime,” O’Leary expressed optimism, commenting, “It’s a good thing,” as the friction between Trump and Musk seems to be fading.

“I’m quite pleased that these two have started to mend their differences,” O’Leary remarked. “This is a typical case of things happening that shouldn’t happen. But they truly rely on one another.”

He highlighted the significant commercial potential of various sectors, including electric vehicles and SpaceX, as assets that could benefit Trump.

“Elon is America’s top industrialist, and many of these technologies represent the future,” O’Leary noted. “These innovations are at the forefront of American technology, and Trump is keen on utilizing them.”

O’Leary emphasized the necessity of Trump mending this relationship, hoping that he can overlook the recent disputes.

“The most powerful man in the world is interested in collaborating with the richest man for numerous reasons,” O’Leary stated.

“So, if they’ve had some disagreements over the past couple of weeks, it’s not the end of the world. The relationship will likely shift, but it will still be intact,” he added.

O’Leary mentioned that improving relations between the two would also be advantageous for others involved.

“I believe that’s a positive development, and the market seems to share that sentiment. Investors prefer harmony; no one wants this feud to continue,” he remarked.

Trump and Musk reportedly had a phone conversation late Monday night, which followed calls from allies on both sides to mend their differences after a recent surge of public exchanges on social media.

Last week, Musk’s departure as a special government employee and chief advisor to the Department of Government Efficiency sparked tension. He criticized a substantial settlement package aimed at Congress, while Trump expressed disappointment over Musk’s comments, leading to a flurry of social media critiques between the two.

The CEO of Tesla and founder of SpaceX, who financially supported Trump’s 2024 campaign, has since moderated his rhetoric, acknowledging that some of his recent comments might have gone “too far.”
