Kevin Spacey Calls for Release of Epstein Files

Kevin Spacey is urging for the release of documents related to Jeffrey Epstein, suggesting that uncovering the truth may help in clearing his name. “We’re releasing Epstein’s files, we’re releasing them all,” the 65-year-old actor tweeted. He’s been in the spotlight before for once flying on Epstein’s “Lolita Express” and for a controversial photo taken at Buckingham Palace alongside Ghislaine Maxwell.

Spacey has previously commented on his connection to Epstein and Maxwell, noting that he was allegedly invited to Buckingham Palace by Prince Andrew in 2002. He claimed that he was not acquainted with either of them before flying to London with former President Bill Clinton.

“I didn’t know him. I’ve never spent time with him. I was with people from the Clinton Foundation,” he clarified. He also mentioned Maxwell, saying she was just one of many people present in the throne room at that time. “I have no connection to her. I had no connection to him. He is not my friend. I am not a confidant,” he stressed.

While he acknowledged that there was a “young girl” present on the plane, he firmly stated that he had never set foot on Epstein’s island. “I had never been to Jeffrey Epstein’s Island. I didn’t know him and I never saw him or her at Buckingham Palace that morning,” he insisted, noting that Epstein was not even present.

Spacey was among the names mentioned in previously sealed documents related to Epstein that were released in January. The Trump administration had indicated it would divulge the complete file from Epstein’s federal investigation, especially as conspiracy theories about Epstein’s associates circulated posthumously. However, last week, Attorney General Pam Bondy declared that these records would not be released after all. The president also dismissed what he called the “Epstein hoax” about the documents.

Spacey has faced accusations of sexual misconduct involving several men between 2004 and 2013, while he served as artistic director at London’s Old Vic Theatre. Nevertheless, he was acquitted of all charges in July 2023 and had previously won a sexual abuse case against actor Anthony Rapp in 2022.
