The Stephen Curry Show Has Tour Dates
This week, after a series of notable games, the NBA unveiled the complete regular season schedule for the Golden State Warriors and the rest of the league.
The Warriors will kick off their home games on October 23, facing the Memphis Grizzlies. Interestingly, this will be the only home game within their initial five matchups.
To wrap up the season, they’ll hit the road for seven out of their final nine games, including clashes against LeBron James’ team and the 76ers, along with a showdown with the Oklahoma City Thunder.
This season, the veterans will travel about 46,000 miles and undertake 15 consecutive trips. With Curry still leading the charge, he’ll undoubtedly remain the center of attention. Golden State will appear on national broadcasts 28 times, with key games on Christmas and President’s Day.
Key Dates on the Warriors’ 2026-27 Schedule
October 21: Opening Night
This is becoming somewhat of a tradition, right?
For the second year in a row and the third time since 2021, the Warriors will open their season in Los Angeles against the Lakers. They previously started the 2022 season by hosting a Western rival, but this year’s game has a different angle.
LeBron James won’t be playing.
This time, it’s the new Lakers led by Luka Doncic.
Since 2018, Curry’s record against the Lakers stands at 7-9 in regular season play. This time around, he’ll encounter a team built around Doncic and Austin Reaves.
Last season, the Warriors had a solid start, beating the Lakers in their opener and winning four of their first five games. This year might present a more difficult challenge for reasons that have affected them previously.
Reports suggest that Jimmy Butler and Moses Moody are healing well from knee surgeries, but the Warriors will miss both players during at least the opening stretch of the season.
October 23: Home Opener
This isn’t just Jaxel Lendeborg’s regular season home debut; it also marks the first face-off between him and Cam Boozer of the Grizzlies, who was the fourth overall draft pick.
Considering the Warriors’ injury challenges and their aging roster, the 23-year-old rookie, one of the older picks this draft season, looks set to contribute early on.
Lendeborg has shown he’s ready for the challenge after winning the Summer League MVP, but he’ll have a chance to showcase his skills in this matchup against Boozer.
November 6: Move Up the Leaderboard
Entering his 17th season, Curry remains a key factor while the Warriors continue to fill their arena. They’re set to break records during their fifth home game of the year.
This occasion will mark the 611th consecutive home game played before a sold-out crowd, surpassing only the Chicago Bulls for the fifth-longest streak in NBA history.
It’s fitting that they face the Miami Heat, who hold the record for the longest streak with 683 games since April 2010.
The Warriors’ impressive run began on December 18, 2012, at Oracle Arena, while the Bulls’ streak lasted from 1987 to 2000 during Michael Jordan’s time.
December 4-11: NBA Cup
The Warriors’ matchups for the group stage of the NBA Cup were recently announced. They’ll host the Lakers on October 30, visit the Spurs on November 13, take on the Kings at home on November 25, and face off against the Blazers away on November 27 as part of Group C.
If they win, they will proceed to the final tournament from December 4 to 9. Otherwise, they’ll play regular season games from December 6 to 10.
December 25: Christmas Day, Pt.
As the end of Curry’s era looms, there’s a small silver lining for the Warriors’ staff—he finally gets to spend Christmas with family. However, that time hasn’t come yet.
For the 14th consecutive year and 16 of the last 17 seasons, Curry and the Warriors will play on Christmas Day, featured in one of the five games during this significant day in the NBA.
They’ll start their game at home against the Nuggets at 7:30 PM, rematching after their loss last year in Denver. The Warriors hold a holiday record of 16-19.
January 30 – February 13: Big Trial
General manager Mike Dunleavy has hinted at possible roster upgrades, making the time before the February 11 trade deadline crucial for assessments.
Initially, they only have two games outside the NBA Cup between January 30 and February 1, before facing the Spurs and then embarking on their longest road trip of the season, with six games across three time zones from February 3 to February 13, culminating in a meeting with the Knicks at Madison Square Garden just two days after the deadline.
March 24-31: LeBron Week
The Warriors’ quest for a powerful duo of Steph and LeBron hasn’t played out as hoped.
In situations like this, sometimes space is the best remedy.
Good news here: the Warriors won’t have to think about LeBron until March. They only have two games within a week (March 24 at home and March 31 in Philadelphia).
James has signed a two-year contract with the Sixers, so there’s a chance we’ll witness him and Curry facing off at least two more times next season. However, with both aging and dealing with injuries, it’s uncertain when might be the last meeting.
April 8-9: A Tough Result
One of the trickiest stretches of the Warriors’ schedule comes at the season’s end. While it could be beneficial for a team looking to welcome back two key players from injuries, the challenge remains as they strive for a top-six seed to avoid the play-in tournament.
They will meet the Jazz in Game 82, having battled through seven of their previous eight games on the road, culminating in the final series all stationed in Oklahoma City.
We likely won’t be able to settle in for the last two weeks of the season.
