The stock market is seeing some interesting movements, particularly with a notable increase in cybersecurity stocks. According to reports, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese recently stated that OpenAI had breached a government website back in June. As concerns around cybersecurity grow, several major companies in this sector have experienced a significant uptick in their stock prices. For instance, CrowdStrike jumped by 10% over three days and has seen a 37% increase over the past month. Similarly, Cloudflare’s stock has risen by 20% recently, while Palo Alto Networks is just 1.4% off from its recent high. Cramer from “Mad Money” mentioned he last picked up Palo Alto Networks shares for his charitable trust back in November, noting a substantial 115% gain since then. Other cybersecurity firms like SentinelOne and Fortinet have also shown promising performance, with gains of nearly 14% and 16% respectively in the past month.

Turning to China, President Xi Jinping is scheduled for crucial discussions with U.S. President Donald Trump at the White House. On that front, major Chinese ETFs are struggling, with the KraneShares CSI China Internet ETF down 42% from its October high, and the iShares MSCI China ETF and iShares China Large-Cap ETF also significantly off their peaks. This downturn is contrasted by the S&P 500, which has posted a more than 12% rise this year.

In terms of unemployment claims, data will be released at 8:30 a.m. ET, with coverage expected on “Squawk Box”. The estimate for jobless claims is set at 201,000. Meanwhile, bond yields have also attracted attention. The 30-year Treasury bond yield stands at 5.397%, while the 10-year Treasury note yield reached a 19-year high at 5.11%. The 2-year Treasury yield also hit a multi-year high of 4.897%.

Looking at the Federal Reserve, several officials are scheduled to speak on Thursday. New York Fed President John Williams will share insights early in the morning, followed by comments from Richmond and Cleveland Fed Presidents, and finally, Philadelphia Fed President Anna Paulson. This will likely provide more context on the current economic conditions.

In corporate news, Darden Restaurants, which owns popular brands such as Olive Garden and Ruth’s Chris Steak House, has seen its stock remain flat over the past three months, dropping 7% from its August peak. Additionally, Costco Wholesale will announce results after the market closes, although its stock has declined by 5.5% in the past three months, and it is currently 17.5% off from its May high.

Lastly, all eyes will be on Meta Platforms, with full reactions expected to CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s comments made on Wednesday night. Interestingly, Meta’s stock has surged 43% since its low in March.
