Kid Rock refers to Trump as the champion against wokeness and DEI at the Rock N Rodeo event

Kid Rock Calls Trump a “Dragon Slayer”

Kid Rock has praised former President Donald Trump, referring to him as a “dragon slayer.” He believes Trump is a significant figure in combatting “wokeness” and cancel culture, stating that it’s starting to fade partly due to Trump’s influence.

In a recent interview, Rock reflected on the pervasive nature of cancel culture but mentioned that he chooses not to engage with it. He expressed a rather casual indifference toward companies that might suffer backlash, remarking that it’s “all good” at the end of the day, perhaps suggesting that some controversies might even be beneficial. He specifically referenced Bud Light, hinting at their past issues with public sentiment.

“I think wokeness and cancel culture are starting to leave the buildings, and I can thank President Trump for leading the charges again,” Kid Rock stated.

Rock added that he hopes society moves toward a merit-based system where the best workers, those who truly receive recognition for their diligence, are acknowledged, which he believes is simply common sense.

Over the years, Kid Rock, a steadfast supporter of Trump, referred to him as “the greatest president of all time.” He reminisced about their friendship and shared experiences together, whether on the golf course or at sports events.

“I know I call myself an American bad— a title that somehow fits when I’m with the president. I love this country, and I fight for it every day,” he said, expressing gratitude for Trump’s electoral victory.

Rock was quite open about how pleased he was for Trump winning, calling it a “landslide” and sharing his thoughts on the media’s skepticism regarding Trump’s chances of re-election.

In discussing political dialogue, Rock admitted he believes in collaborating with reasonable individuals, regardless of their political affiliations, but he also hinted at the perils posed by “bad actors” in society.

During his conversation with Fox News, Kid Rock touched on attire he wore while visiting the White House, mentioning an outfit he had prepared for an American anniversary celebration. He seemed amused by the situation, reflecting on how unexpected some events turned out during his time in the Oval Office.

On another note, Kid Rock indicated plans for his “Rock and Rodeo” event, aiming to foster a blend of American music styles while countering what he views as an increasing influence of “wokeness” in various industries, including sports.

Rock’s “Rock and Rodeo” event took place at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, on May 16th. Describing the event, he emphasized the unification of rock, country, and hip-hop, reflecting his vision of an Americana celebration. He has clearly positioned this event as a platform to showcase what he considers true patriotic expressions within entertainment.
