Kim Kardashian Discusses Marital Struggles with Kanye West

Kim Kardashian recently expressed feelings akin to “Stockholm Syndrome” during her marriage to Kanye West. In the premiere of season 7 of kardashian family, she reflected on their turbulent relationship, which ended in divorce in 2021. “Poor kids,” she remarked about the challenges they faced when West started showing inconsistent behaviors.

Kardashian, who has four children with West, added, “Everyone around me can manage, but I need you to keep my baby safe.” She’s aware that her kids will eventually understand certain things, and it’s her responsibility as a mother to shield them from unfavorable behaviors during tough times.

While she believed she had managed to “hide” much of West’s behavior from the children for quite a while, she acknowledged that one of them recently started to grasp the reality of their situation. Kardashian mentioned feeling a bit like she had “Stockholm Syndrome” in her marriage, saying she often felt sympathy for her ex and wanted to assist him.

Though he claims to have shed that sense of responsibility, she admitted it frustrates her to think that she inaccurately suggested West was obstructing her from seeing their children.

“People assume I can just walk away and never have business related to him again, but that’s far from true,” she stated. “We have four kids, and it’s confusing because everyone online claims I’m responsible for the kids.” She pointed out that he never actually inquires about the children, leaving her to manage their needs publicly.

Kardashian clarified, “This is a divorce, not a kidnapping. We’re not apart. We’re at the same location, sharing an address. He knows where the kids are. What happened to the house he bought next door? We intended to co-parent, and now he’s the one taking them to school.”

Growing up, Kardashian observed her mother, Kris Jenner, and her step-parent, Caitlyn Jenner, along with her dad, Robert Kardashian, maintain a solid co-parenting relationship. She even invited West to join her for “family dinner every night” after he purchased a home next to hers.

“Obviously, that wasn’t his desire. I understand it might have been overwhelming,” she reflected, adding, “It is what it is.” Despite not receiving an apology from West, she clarified she never explicitly requested one.
