Kristin Cabot to Speak at High-Profile Conference
Kristin Cabot, known for a viral incident involving former Astronomer CEO Andy Byron at a Coldplay concert, is now set to headline an expensive conference in Washington, D.C.
After resigning from her role as chief human resources officer when the video gained traction, Cabot has managed to pivot her career. She’s now raising funds as a keynote speaker at a crisis communications conference. Reports suggest that tickets for the event are priced at $875.
Cabot will take the stage for a 30-minute discussion titled “Christine Cabot: Reclaiming the Story.” She will share this platform with PR representative Dini von Mueffling as a participant in PRWeek’s Crisis Comms Conference in April. The tickets range from $750 to $875, catering to various attendees.
She is among 15 speakers lined up for the event, and the organization provided insight into her journey. It described her as a prominent HR executive and advocate for anti-bullying. The blurb highlighted how Cabot became an unexpected public figure overnight due to the Coldplay incident, prompting countless reactions.
According to the statement, the video amassed around 300 billion views, thrusting her into a world of fame and scrutiny. It pointed out her struggles with online harassment and the distress her family faced as a result. The aftermath led her to reconsider her situation, especially in light of some of her critics, and ultimately drove her to become an advocate against public shaming.
TMZ noted that Cabot’s personal life faced turmoil following the incident, as she separated from her spouse amidst the fallout.
The conference aims to equip participants with skills for handling unexpected challenges that have become increasingly common.
