KJP fumbles hard when Fox News reporter confronts — and then fact-checks — her false narrative about recent migrant deaths

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said the Biden administration was fixated on stories, not facts, after three migrants drowned while trying to cross the Rio Grande last Friday.

After the tragedy, the Biden administration rushed to blame Texas for the incident. For example, homeland security accused The Texas National Guard accused Border Patrol agents of “physically prohibiting” them from responding to migrants in distress. On the other hand, the White House was suggested The migrants might have been saved had the Texas National Guard not “interrupted the U.S. Border Patrol's efforts to provide emergency assistance.”

But the Department of Justice Approved on petition to the Supreme Court On Monday, it was revealed that the migrants – two children and an adult woman – had already drowned when Mexican authorities alerted Border Patrol agents to the tragic deaths. In fact, they had been dead for at least an hour.

On Wednesday, Fox News correspondent Jackie Heinrich confronted Jean-Pierre over dishonest reporting from the White House. She asked, “Will the administration revise another statement that actually implied that Texas authorities were responsible for the deaths of the three migrants?”

“By the time Mexico told anyone in the United States, they had been dead for an hour, and the government acknowledged as much in court filings,” Heinrich said. It pointed out. “However, the White House's statement implied that Texas was responsible, and many news organizations were forced to issue corrections and editor's notes because of the White House's statement.”

Jean-Pierre urged Heinrich to “be sensitive” to the revelation of the lie, citing the “devastating situation”. But then, after stumbling over her own thoughts many times, she refused to admit her truth.

“Our statement is consistent with the Department of Justice filing. As stated in the Department of Justice filing, there is an ongoing state of emergency where Border Patrol access is blocked. There are also other migrants in the waters. “I was,” she answered.

“But that was different. The ongoing emergency was different,” Heinrich confirmed.

A Fox News reporter then read President Jean-Pierre's statement — which read that “Authorities in Texas blocked the U.S. Border Patrol from providing emergency assistance” — but the spokesperson refuted his earlier assertion. It was just repeating.

“There were other migrants in the water,” she said.

“Then why wasn't that included in the statement?” Heinrich shot back.

When Mr. Heinrich then asked if this statement was referring to “other immigrants” (obviously not, as they were released in direct response to the drownings), Mr. Jean-Pierre ended the questioning, saying: Additional questions were referred to the Department of Justice.
