The cold war between Clutch and the Knicks has clearly intensified.
Rich Paul met with team president Leon Rose on Friday, and a source told the Post that “things were quickly resolved” during the sit-in.
According to sources, they are expected to advance their business relationship in the future.
As the newspaper previously reported, Klutch had previously wanted his client not to join the Knicks.
That included two players recently added to the trade block, Atlanta’s Dejounte Murray and Chicago’s Zach LaVine.
One of the most powerful agents in the NBA, Paul has a long list of clients, including LeBron James, who plays against the Knicks at MSG on Friday.
Despite recent speculation that James might leave the Lakers, Paul told ESPN that the greatest player of all time “will not be traded.”
Still, as the trade deadline approaches, the Knicks have been linked to two clutch clients, Murray and Portland’s Malcolm Brogdon.
The cooling effect with Clutch removes a potential obstacle as the Knicks, who have won an NBA-high nine consecutive championships and are on the rise, are expanding their roster.
Paul might not have blocked the deal, but if the player’s camp opposes the move, there could be a minefield.
According to the Forbes list last season, Paul represented 37 players and managed $1.36 billion in contracts.

His current stable includes (but is not limited to):
- Malay
- Lavigne
- james
- anthony davis
- draymond green
- Trae Young
- Tyrese Maxey
- De’Aaron Fox
- fred van veleet
- Malcolm Brogdon
- jordan clarkson
- Darius Garland
- Jerami Grant
- colin sexton
The reason for the impasse is unclear, but it’s worth noting that the Knicks are heavily involved with Klutch’s rival agency, CAA.
Sources said the beef had nothing to do with Paul and Rose’s old partnership as agents at CAA.
