‘Knucklehead’ Refrain Couldn’t Save Tim Walz From A ’60 Minutes’ Disaster

Tim Walz's classic “knucklehead” refrain couldn't save him from a lackluster performance during Monday night's “60 Minutes” interview.

The vice presidential candidate lied about his military record and is an “Operation Enduring Freedom veteran,” which is the U.S. government's official name for the Afghanistan war, even though he never actually served in the war. He has been accused of “stolen courage.'' middle east. During an interview with CBS News on Monday night, correspondent Bill Whitaker asked Walz about the false depictions of his military service and visit to China that the Minnesota governor has over-exaggerated. “Is that a false alarm? [about things like the China issue] — Isn't that more than just being a “knucklehead”? asked Whittaker.

Walz tried to allay concerns by focusing on former President Donald Trump, claiming he is “expressing emotion, telling a story, not getting dates wrong, he's expressing emotion.” did. [being] He's a pathological liar. ”

“I admit that I am weak-fingered sometimes,” he continued, “but those closest to me know that I keep my word.”

Also the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce called out Walz ended the interview by claiming that the state's business community “promoted” the paid family and medical leave policy he signed while governor.

Listen, Tim is just a knuckle guy. Is he a pathological liar who grossly glossed over his military service during the War on Terror for political gain? Of course not. He would never do that. That's too disgraceful. He's a knucklehead. We can forgive the knuckleheads. Knuckleheads don't have a cynical bone in their bodies. They may be stupid, but the endearing quality of their naivety makes up for what they greatly lack in intelligence.
