Kremlin Says Judge for Yourself If Putin Was Serious About Endorsing Kamala Harris

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Friday that Russian citizens should decide for themselves whether Russian President Vladimir Putin was joking, teasing or completely serious when he said he would prefer Kamala Harris to be the US president instead of Donald Trump.

Putin Expressed He was in Vladivostok on Thursday to attend the Eastern Economic Forum, and he has a positive view of Harris.

“I would have said that our beloved (if we can call him that) is the current President Biden. He dropped out of the race, but he encouraged all his supporters to support Harris. So we will too. We support her,” Putin said.

“She laughs expressively and it's contagious, so that means all is well with her,” he adds, grinning.

Putin also made the usual boilerplate disclaimer that Russian authorities have no interest in the outcome of the U.S. election and have no intention of interfering in it.

Asked about Putin's comments at a press conference on Friday, Peskov said Russian issues were Putin's top priority.

“The situation in the US cannot be the president's top priority, and in fact it is not,” Peskov said.

“When he is asked about the international situation, he comments on it. As for his tone, interested parties abroad must try to interpret it,” the Kremlin spokesman said.

The Biden-Harris administration appeared to take Putin seriously on Friday, angrily telling the Russian leader not to interfere in U.S. elections.

White House National Security Council spokesman John Kirby Confused When a reporter asked Putin what outcome the vice president would like to see in the presidential elections, Putin replied:

“Putin should stop talking about our elections. He shouldn't take sides. Only the American people should have the right to decide who the next president of the United States will be,” Kirby angrily said.

“We would be very grateful if President Putin, A, stop talking about our elections and B, stop interfering in them,” Kirby said, adding that the new Claims Regarding Russian election interference.
