Krispy Kreme’s Day of the Dozen: $1 for a dozen doughnuts

Krispy Kreme's Day of the Dozen: $1 for a dozen doughnuts

It’s that time of year again, particularly for those who can’t resist donuts.

In honor of their annual “Day of the Dozen,” customers can snag 12 original donuts for just $1 today.

That’s right—$1 for a dozen donuts!

However, there’s a small stipulation: you need to purchase either a box of 12 or 16 mini donuts at regular price. Still, it’s quite a deal given the current state of the economy.

So, if you’re a donut fan, running (not walking) to your nearest Krispy Kreme could be worthwhile.

If you aren’t near a Krispy Kreme or the weather isn’t cooperating, don’t worry. You can still take advantage of this limited-time offer by ordering online and using the code “DOZEN” at checkout.

This sweet treat chain clearly aims to keep its customers happy. Just last month, they announced the addition of nine new flavors to their menu, which is pretty exciting. Five of these are permanent, while four are only temporarily available.

The new flavors include New York Cheesecake, Oreo Cookies and Cream, Original Glazed Cake, Cinnamon Apple Filled, and Original Glazed Cream—definitely a lot of choices.

The limited-time options are set to change five times a year, featuring enticing flavors like Biscoff Cookie Butter Cream, Maple Ice, Chocolate Fudge Brownie Donut, and Original Glazed Pumpkin Spice Cake Donut.

These new flavors have been in the works for over a year, and the company is optimistic about them being well-received.

“We’re thrilled to introduce nine new flavors, allowing everyone to personalize their dozen,” said Alison Holder, Krispy Kreme’s chief brand and product officer. “We want to offer variety, more flavors, and, most importantly, more choices.”

However, with every new flavor introduced, some beloved options have to make way. Original Glazed Blueberry Cake, Original Glazed with Lemon, and Cake Batter flavors had their moments of appreciation but are no longer on the menu.

Yet, donut lovers shouldn’t despair. There’s a glimmer of hope that these flavors could make a comeback someday.
