Gov. Kristi Noem (R-S.D.) said Monday on NewsNation’s “Elizabeth Vargas Report” that the alleged meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un was not removed from her book because it was “false.” Stated.
Vargas said, “You write about North Korean leader Kim Jong-un. You’ve been asked several times over the past few days because you issued a retraction. I said it shouldn’t have been written, it was a mistake. Why shouldn’t it have been in the book? Is that a lie?”
Nomu said, “No. What I said was that when it was pointed out to me, I adjusted it to fit the content of the book. I have met many world leaders all over the world. I have been to the DMZ. I’ve been traveling and talking to world leaders for years and years, and I don’t just want their names in the book, and I’m going to talk about those personal meetings. No.”
Vargas said, “Your senior press secretary told Politico that the names of world leaders are mixed up in the book. What the hell does that mean?”
“What this means is that I met a lot of world leaders, a lot of them. Some of them were in the book, some of them weren’t,” Noem said. When I found out about this, I took immediate action and asked for his name to be removed.”
Vargas said, “Why did you delete that?” Is it because that passage is false? ”
Nomu said, “No. This is not something I’m going to talk about. I don’t talk about my personal meetings with world leaders and I plan to stay there.”
“But to take that out of the book, because obviously it’s not true,” Vargas said.
Noem said, “I told you my answer, but no, it’s not an answer. This is something that I adjusted and asked to remove the content and its name, and that It can be said that this is an actual act.”
Vargas said, “When I knew that I took immediate action, I recorded the entire book and recorded an audio reading this entire passage aloud.” Reading an audiobook Why did you take it out?”
Noem said: “I’ve been traveling for years. I’ve been in policy for nearly 30 years. So I’ve traveled all over the world. I’ve met with world leaders. When that happened, I asked the publisher if they could remove my name, and they did.”
Vargas said, “But you didn’t answer my question. You posted photos and videos of yourself recording an audiobook. I didn’t realize when you recorded your own audiobook. Is it?”
“I’m not going to talk about meetings with world leaders,” Noem said.
Vargas said: I have a question about recording audiobooks. ”
Noem said, “Is there anything else you’d like to talk about today?”
