Kristin Cavallari confesses she travels first class while her children fly in coach.

Kristin Cavallari has recently echoed a sentiment that stirred some controversy for another celebrity mom. In her latest appearance on the podcast “Aspire with Emma Greed,” the 39-year-old reality star talked about her approach to parenting, emphasizing the importance of hard work. “If you want something, you have to work for it,” she stated.

She noted that her children come from a privileged background, adding, “I want them to understand that this is my money, not your money.” For instance, she mentioned her preference for flying first class while her kids remain in economy. Once they were old enough not to bicker, she said, walking away from them on the plane felt like a breeze, jokingly saying, “Goodbye, go home and have fun.”

Fans found humor in Cavallari’s solo luxury travel, with one commenting on YouTube, “The coach that takes the kids while flying first class is real lol.” She shares her life with ex-husband Jay Cutler’s three children—sons Camden (13) and Jackson (12), and daughter Saylor (10).

During the podcast, Cavallari also opened up about her divorce from Cutler, married from 2013 to 2022. She credited the success of her jewelry and skincare brand, Uncommon James, as a pivotal factor in her decision to leave her marriage. “If I didn’t have Uncommon James, I would’ve had half of his money. But because I built this company, I had significant assets,” she explained.

She wryly mentioned, “I didn’t get anything from the divorce. I’m quite happy now. However, I had to give him half of the value of Uncommon James, cash, real estate, everything. Isn’t that funny?”

Cavallari’s remarks came on the heels of singer Jessica Simpson defending herself after a similar incident involving her family during a flight. Simpson claimed she was seated in first class while her children and estranged husband Eric Johnson traveled elsewhere. This revelation surfaced when her ex-husband Nick Lachey discussed the flight incident on “Watch What Happens Live!” in May.

Later, Simpson clarified Lachey’s comments, stating, “My mom bought those tickets. It was her reward for us to go to Hawaii.” She has three children with Johnson: Maxwell (14), Ace (12), and Birdie (7).
