Kristin Cavallari Talks Dating Preferences
Kristin Cavallari recently discussed her dating preferences, notably after a relationship with someone significantly younger than her.
In a new episode of her podcast, “Let’s Be Honest with Kristin Cavallari,” she hosted actress Sarah Shahi, who shared insights on navigating divorce and co-parenting. Shahi, known for her role in “Sex/Life,” divorced Steve Howey in 2021 after nearly two decades together.
Toward the end of the episode, Cavallari and Shahi participated in a quick-fire discussion about what they find attractive in potential partners. Cavallari presented a hypothetical situation about a man without children who doesn’t want any.
Shahi responded with a firm “No,” explaining that while she doesn’t judge such choices, they don’t appeal to her as a mother. “It just doesn’t turn me on,” she said.
Cavallari concurred, stating, “That’s a deal breaker for me. I think my life is hard to understand for people who don’t have kids or don’t want them.”
Shahi added that becoming a mother fosters growth and maturity, suggesting that those who haven’t experienced it might carry a touch of selfishness. It seems both women felt that such perspectives wouldn’t align well in a partnership.
Cavallari, who shares three kids—Camden, Jackson, and Saylor—with her ex-husband Jay Cutler, was married for almost seven years before their separation in 2020. She briefly dated TikTok star Mark Estes, 26, but they broke up after about seven months in early 2024.
Additionally, Cavallari hinted at feelings of hurt in her on-and-off speculation surrounding a possible relationship with country singer Morgan Wallen, which circulated in late 2023. During a recent social media moment, she revealed that Wallen is quite popular with her kids, which added complexity to her feelings.
When asked about her past romances, Cavallari playfully noted that her “hottest relationship” was with actor Jason Statham. It’s clear, through her candidness, that dating continues to be a complex and evolving journey for her.
