Kyle Busch's wife posts touching Father's Day message following loss

Heartfelt Tribute on Father’s Day

Samantha Busch, the widow of the late NASCAR driver Kyle Busch, shared an emotional post on social media this Father’s Day. It’s been a month since his passing.

Kyle tragically lost his life at just 41 years old due to severe pneumonia that developed into sepsis.

In her tribute, Samantha included gifts that she and their two children, Brexton, 11, and Lennix, 4, had prepared for him.

She expressed how surreal the day felt, writing, “It still doesn’t feel real at all.” Samantha reflected on the Father’s Day cards that remained in a drawer, never given. “I thought about how to spend what was supposed to be a day filled with so much joy.”

Samantha recalled her husband’s unique parenting style. He never missed a chance to be silly with the kids but also made time for reading bedtime stories and being present in their moments.

She commented, “Nothing made him more proud than being the father of Brexton and Lennix.”

Photos and videos shared showed the family sharing loving moments with Kyle, regardless of race results. They created memories together, sometimes enjoying boat rides or fun beach days.

Samantha promised to keep telling their children how deeply their father loved them, despite the heartache.

As she continued her message, she admitted that looking back at those memories was painful yet a reminder of how fortunate she was to have him. “Kyle, the kids, and I miss you every second of every day,” she wrote. “Our absence is something we feel physically.”

She assured that Brexton and Lennix will always understand the love their father had for them, concluding with a heartfelt “Happy Father’s Day. We love you and miss you more than words can express.”

The news of Busch’s death sent shockwaves through the racing community, which responded with an outpouring of grief and tributes to one of the sport’s finest drivers.

Shortly after Kyle’s death on May 21, NASCAR honored him during the Coca-Cola 600, where his parents and brother joined Samantha and the children to celebrate his legacy.

NASCAR CEO, Steve O’Donnell, remarked, “Kyle Busch is NASCAR. He is one of a kind and there will never be another.”
