L.A. County Steps in to Test Soil in Palisades, Eaton Fires

Los Angeles County will test contaminant soil after burned homes and structure debris are removed. Pasadena Star News.

Pasadena Star News It has been reported:

Los Angeles County will lead a “comprehensive” test of soil in burned areas and respond to concerns from many residents about the possibility of it being buried in the ground in the wake of the Eton and Pallisard fires, officials said on Wednesday February. I stated.

Air, soil and water sampling and monitoring will be carried out by LA County Public Health as part of a comprehensive post-fire assessment, said Barbara Feller, department director.

Feller said the county is working with the state to ensure that such a confirmation test is being carried out. Public health was also working on a mode of letting residents know the results of such tests. Feller also said the soil may have been contaminated before the fire.

As reported by Breitbart News, local residents who endured the Palisades Fire (Pacific Palisades, Malibu) and the Eaton Fire (Altadena, Pasadena) are furious at the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) denial. California is being done to carry out additional soil testing, as is being done for other fires in California and other states.

Residents are concerned about their health impacts and long-term impact on property value.
