I hope this cash comes back.
In a heist of biblical proportions, nearly $30 million in cash was stolen from a Los Angeles-area safe on Easter Sunday. No one noticed that the safe was empty until the next morning.
The robbery occurred Sunday night at the GardaWorld facility in Sylmar, which handles cash for several businesses in the area. Sources told Eyewitness News.

A person familiar with the investigation told Eyewitness News that the thieves entered the facility through the roof and managed to avoid setting off an alarm when they entered the cash storage area.
Footage of the facility on Wednesday showed what appeared to be a large hole in the side of the building and a pile of rubble next to it, but it was unclear whether the damage was caused by a break-in, the news outlet said. Stated.
The LA Times noted that few people would have known how much cash was stored in this nondescript facility.
The elaborate plan was likely carried out by a group of experienced robbers, sources told the newspaper.

The robbery was one of the largest in Los Angeles history, surpassing all armored car thefts in the area, Los Angeles Police Department Cmdr. Elaine Morales confirmed this to the press.
As of Thursday, the case remains under investigation by both the Los Angeles Police Department and the FBI.
The Los Angeles Police Department and GardaWorld facility did not immediately respond to The Post’s requests for comment.
The Easter Sunday theft comes nearly two years after up to $100 million worth of jewelry and other valuables were taken from an armored big rig at a Grapevine truck stop.
During the 27-minute robbery, which took place during the driver’s nap and meal break, the perpetrators stuffed the jewelery into 20 large bags.
The crime remains unsolved.
