Los Angeles Dodgers Set White House Visit for World Series Celebration
The Los Angeles Dodgers are slated to visit the White House to commemorate their second consecutive World Series title, according to a report from the California Post.
An official from the White House confirmed that the team’s visit is set for July 23, aligning with an off-season tour on the East Coast. It coincides with a stretch of games against the Phillies and Mets.
White House Press Secretary Taylor Rogers expressed excitement, stating, “President Trump is thrilled to welcome the Los Angeles Dodgers back to the White House to celebrate their World Series victory!” This announcement wraps up months of speculation about the timing of the visit.
Even though manager Dave Roberts previously mentioned a commitment to the team, the Dodgers weren’t able to arrange a visit during their April series against the Nationals in Washington, D.C. Their schedule simply didn’t allow for it, leading many to think this tradition might be skipped entirely this season.
However, a break in their schedule, nestled between games in Philadelphia and New York, has allowed a window for them to meet with President Trump.
Previously, the Dodgers celebrated their World Series win with President Trump in April 2025. During that visit, he praised the team, notably pointing out Shohei Ohtani’s impressive presence.
Former Dodgers pitcher Clayton Kershaw remarked on the honor of visiting the White House, saying it’s an “incredible honor to meet whoever is in office.” Reflecting on past visits, he noted, “We went in 2021 and this time, I knew there was a lot of debate on whether the Dodgers should attend or not. But ultimately, being able to meet the President of the United States is something you should never overlook, regardless of your beliefs.”
