Hallmark and Disney Team Up for a Holiday Film
Hallmark Channel is partnering with Walt Disney World for a festive project featuring Lacey Chabert, who has earned the title of the network’s Queen of Christmas.
On December 6th, Hallmark shared news about a new movie titled Holiday Ever After: Disney World Wishes Come True, which is set to be part of their upcoming Countdown to Christmas Slate. The film will be filmed at Walt Disney World.
Chabert spoke with DECIDER at the Hallmark Christmas Experience event on December 7, expressing her excitement over the announcement. “I have no qualms about it,” she said playfully. “It’s my dream project.”
The film will feature Chabert alongside actors like Travis Van Winkle, Richard Kind, Christy Carlson Romano, Tegen Barnes, and Asher Alexander. There will also be special appearances from Patrick Lena, known for his role in Sandlot.
The official plot from Hallmark reveals that the story revolves around Lindsay (played by Chabert) and her family as they head to Walt Disney World for a Christmas vacation. However, her holiday bliss is disrupted when she finds out that her room is right next to Philip (Van Winkle), who recently had a rough first date with his family.
As Lindsay and Philip’s lives intersect during their stay, tensions ease as they realize their similarities. With a little help from the magic of Walt Disney World, it appears that Lindsay’s Christmas wish at the Cinderella Fountain might turn their rivalry into something more.
Chabert, who often visited Disneyland while living in Los Angeles, mentioned that her visits to Walt Disney World in Orlando have been limited. Still, she described it as a “very special place” filled with cherished family memories. “I always thought this was the perfect collaboration,” she added, expressing her happiness about being involved in the project.
Chabert recently starred in She Is Making a List and admitted that keeping this new film a secret was challenging. “I didn’t even tell my family for months,” she shared. While she couldn’t reveal much, she hinted at surprises in store, emphasizing that it’s a beautiful love story intertwined with family themes.
Holiday Ever After: Disney World Wishes Come True is set to be released in 2026.
