Phoenix, Arizona – Arizona Republican Senate candidate Kari Lake told Fox News Digital that illegal immigration is disproportionately hurting the state's residents, creating a “double whammy,” and that the state's Republican Party won in November. He claimed that it would lead to victory.
“I think most Americans think they've pushed us over the edge, over a cliff,” Lake told Fox News Digital about the Biden-Harris administration's policies. “And we're hoping that we can get this back in November, and that's our plan. But our polls show that the economy is really impacting everyone. Borders affect everyone.”
Lake explained to FOX News Digital that the current administration's border policies unfairly hurt Arizona, especially when it comes to housing costs.
”It's basic supply and demand,” Lake said, adding, “You've got 21 million people coming in, and even if you take the estimated 10 million that Joe Biden and Kamala are showing, they're going to go somewhere. They have to live in houses, apartments, hotels, which are depriving Americans of housing opportunities and driving up prices, because right now, as are we, the supply of housing is so high. We haven't built enough homes or apartments in the last 20 years to meet the demand, which is very limited. So when you suddenly add 21 million people, you have a supply and demand problem. I understand that there is not enough supply but there is a lot of demand.”

Lake went on to say, “The people who are coming into our country illegally, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris are bringing us hand in hand and saying, “Yes, please come in, and we will provide housing for you.'' We know what we're saying is, we'll give you federally subsidized housing. You and I will pay for it, and we'll give you a month to pay for your food. They give thousands of dollars worth of ID cards, Americans barely have enough to live on, so they can get these jobs for less than their going rate because expenses have gone up. This is a double whammy that deprives Americans of their wages and hourly wages and depresses and depresses them, with a particularly severe impact on Arizona.
Regarding inflation, Lake pointed out that: data display Phoenix was at one point the worst-hit city in the country.
”“I talk to more Arizonans than anyone in the nation,” Lake told Fox News Digital. “I think I have a better relationship with Arizonans than anyone in the state of Arizona, but they're struggling. You know, it's really hard to see families and retirees and retirees, Arizona used to be a cheap state, but now it's not so much, Cali, I never had to go to a food bank, I'm told now. I was donating to the bank. Now I find myself there every few weeks to make ends meet. People in this state are incredibly hardworking. My heart is breaking because of the people.”

”They don't deserve this and don't want to be asked for benefits, but they are working harder than ever. Some people work two jobs and don't have enough time in the day. They can't work any harder than they already do and still haven't earned a living. So this is very sad for the people, and it's also very sad for me because I love the people of this state with all my heart.”
Lake is running for Senate against the Democratic Party. Rep. Ruben Gallego, who she claims is responsible for supporting Harris-Biden's immigration and inflation record, told Fox News Digital that she believes Republicans will be successful in November as a result of these policies. .

”It seems like all the major issues we face as a country are somehow channeled directly through Arizona, and this is why I'm so relieved that we're going to win this, because… “First of all, we're registering voters from the left to the right,” Lake said.
“People are saying, yeah, we're going to vote, we're going to be Republicans. We're calling out people who have never voted in an election.'' We call people who have probably skipped the last four or five elections low propensity voters, and we ask, “Are you going to vote?'' . I'm definitely going to vote, I'm having a hard time right now, but this is the first of many elections I've voted in. ”But if we don't get this right as a free America, I think this is going to be a really important election. ”
Fox News Digital reached out to the White House for comment but did not receive a response.
