Lakers’ LeBron James eases concerns about severity of latest injury

The Los Angeles Lakers and Boston Celtics finished second in their respective meetings in Saturday's highly anticipated matchup.

The Lakers have surged in the weeks since the team acquired Luka Donsic. However, Boston lasted Los Angeles on Saturday, eventually celebrating its 111-101 victory. An injury forced LeBron James to finish the game in the fourth quarter.

James did not provide a schedule for him to return to court, but he sought to alleviate concerns about the severity of his injuries.

“I'm not too worried,” James said. “Obviously, I'm every day. I'll look at it every day to see if it gets better and take appropriate steps to see what I need to move forward.”

ESPN reported The tense gro diameter allows James to be placed aside for up to two weeks.

James did not return to court after a timeout with 6:44 minutes remaining after challenging Jalen Brown's layup. The 21st NBA All-Star barely moved and moved before heading to the locker room with his trainers.

James finished the game with 22 points, 14 rebounds and nine assists.

He said his first thought went to his first season in Los Angeles in 2018 when he suffered a gro caliber injury during a Christmas Day game against the Golden State Warriors. He missed the next 17 games and injuries plagued him for the majority of the rest of the season.

“I've been there before and I know what kind of injuries we're getting,” James pointed out. He appears to be convinced that his latest injury is not as serious as in 2018.

He also said he thought about his former teammate Anthony Davis. He said he suffered a current gro caliber injury in his first match against the Dallas Mavericks following Donsic's deal.

“It's crazy, but I thought about advertising,” James said.

Donsic hopes to get the rest of James injured. “Obviously he has to spend time,” Donsic said. “These injuries, I'm not saying that bad things are bad, but it's difficult to deal with.”

The Celtics' Lakers' defeat concluded a Los Angeles eight-game victory. The defeat also temporarily dropped them to third place in the Western Conference standings. However, LA returned to second place after the Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the Denver Nuggets on Sunday afternoon.
