Lamine Yamal's girlfriend supports him ahead of World Cup semifinal

Lamine Yamal, Spain’s standout winger, has netted just one goal in this World Cup, but his contributions have been vital in getting the team to the semi-finals against France on July 14.

Facing off against arguably the most formidable attack in the sport means Yamal might need to step up and score again for Spain to have a fighting chance.

On a personal note, Yamal just turned 19, and he’s got a strong support system during the tournament, particularly his girlfriend, Ines García, who is 21. Their relationship, confirmed early in 2026, has seen García cheering on Spain throughout the World Cup, and she’s even caught attention for their coordinated outfits during matches.

Recently, a social media post from García drew quite a bit of interest. She shared a black-and-white photo on her Instagram story, showing her and Yamal embraced, with the caption in Spanish that translates as, “Wishing you all the luck in the world.”

Spain has managed to move forward thanks to crucial late goals in their recent matches, including overcoming Portugal in the round of 16 and Belgium in the quarter-finals.

However, they might have a tough time against Kylian Mbappé, who has scored an impressive 16 goals across six World Cups, plus his knack for late-game heroics.
