On Tuesday, Democrat strategist James Carville appeared on MSNBC’s “The Beat,” where he discussed allegations made by the Trump administration against Rep. Lamonica McQuiver (D-NJ) concerning her race.

Carville shared his perspective, suggesting, “I think they followed her, and her race plays a role in this. It’s just how I see it.” He expressed a clear opinion on the matter.

Host Ali Melber probed further, asking, “So you believe the Trump administration or the DOJ is accusing her of racially motivated actions? What leads you to that conclusion?”

In response, Carville emphasized, “It’s about them trying to project their agenda. They discuss themes like American blood and other polarizing topics. To be straightforward, it’s evident.”

He elaborated, noting, “They’re attempting to divert attention towards immigrants, as the global economy falters. We see rising bond rates for ten-year securities, and there’s a general softness across markets. Alerts about low revenues from companies have been issued, and yet, there’s a lack of legislative progress.”

Carville continued, “When there’s stagnation, it feels like the narrative shifts. They might say, ‘Let’s bring in a Black figure to change the focus.’ That’s genuinely how I perceive the situation.”
