LSU’s newly appointed football coach had a lighthearted take on a recent viral outfit worn by Jackson Dart, the former Ole Miss quarterback now with the Giants. Dart posed for a photo in a black ensemble that some have likened to a robe, alongside his girlfriend, Marissa Ayers.

An X user, @LindyTasteful, humorously commented, “You know you’re madly in love with Jackson Dart because he’s dressed like a pilgrim for his girlfriend.” Kiffin, not missing a beat, responded with a laughing emoji.

Kiffin has a history with Dart, having coached him for three seasons at Ole Miss before the Giants picked him in last year’s NFL Draft with the 25th overall selection. Since then, Dart has made quite an impression; he became the starting quarterback in Week 4 and managed to throw for 15 touchdowns while keeping his interceptions to five during 14 regular-season games.

On the ground, he added nine points to the mix.

The romance rumors between Dart and Ayers, a model and ring card girl, started circulating late in his rookie season. Ayers took to Instagram in January to confirm their relationship, posting a collection of their photos with the caption, “Rumor has it… @jaxsondart.”

The couple continues to share glimpses of their relationship online. Just recently, Ayers posted about Dart’s outfit, which spurred mixed reactions. One user questioned, “What the hell is he wearing?” while another quipped, “This dart guy is dressed like a judge.” Even Dart’s younger brother, Diesel, humorously commented, “Pastor Jax.”

Ayers, who boasts around 500,000 Instagram followers, offered a sweet caption for their post: “In our own little world.”

As for Dart, he’s gearing up for his second season in New York, this time under the guidance of coach John Harbaugh.

The Giants brought Harbaugh on board in January after he spent 18 years with the Ravens, replacing Brian Daboll, who was let go midway through his fourth season last November.
