Tragic Discovery in Washington State

Three young girls were found dead, leading authorities to suspect their father. Travis Decker, 32, could face three counts of first-degree murder, as indicated by the Chelan County Sheriff’s Office.

The children were reported missing after Decker didn’t return from a visit with their mother, which was supposed to take place last Friday. Their bodies were discovered three days later at a campsite on Rock Island, near Leavenworth, during a police search.

The victims were identified as five-year-old Olivia Decker, eight-year-old Evelyn Decker, and nine-year-old Paytin Decker. Reports suggest that Decker had been staying at the campsite in his truck or a hotel room after losing his permanent residence. He has a history of borderline personality disorder and is identified as a former military officer.

Authorities found bloody items in Decker’s 2017 GMC Sierra pickup. The girls’ bodies were located about 100 yards from the vehicle. Court documents reveal alarming details, indicating that the girls may have been restrained and suffocated.

Sheriff Mike Morrison described Decker as an “extreme survivalist,” capable of living off the land for extended periods. The public is being asked to avoid any confrontations, as he is considered dangerous. Decker is described as a Caucasian male, around 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing approximately 190 pounds, with dark hair and brown eyes.

This unsettling news has left the nearby community on edge. A local resident, Lana Batricsky, poignantly shared, “I have a daughter, so I can’t imagine if anyone hurt her. That’s shocking. I really don’t know what this mother is going through. It’s hell on Earth.”
