Larry David absolutely despises March Madness brackets

Larry David won’t fill a spot this year and won’t see much of the NCAA Tournament.

Actually, this funny guy doesn’t really like writing in brackets.

The “Curb Your Enthusiasm” star and “Seinfeld” co-creator said in a hilarious interview on Thursday’s “Rich Eisen Show” that he doesn’t have that much time to keep track of these teams. He said he was shocked that no one else had it.

“Um, can I come in now?” David started to say when Eisen broached the topic. “How far can you keep up in sports in this tournament?” I’m sure you know who Drake is, right? I mean, this is crazy, crazy. Valparaiso? Do you know the name Valparaiso? This is insane. I don’t know anything. We might watch the semi-finals, but that’s it. what can i do? I have the Rangers, I have the Knicks. You can’t follow all these teams. How do people do it? How are you doing? “

He added jokingly: “Who are they married to?”

But the fun didn’t end there.

This year’s March frenzy turned into a bit of a “next door” affair thanks to Long Beach State firing head coach Dan Monson to “inspire” his players before being eliminated from the tournament by Arizona on Thursday. It had a Seinfeld-like flare.

Eisen likened coaching in the NCAA Tournament after being fired by Long Beach State’s athletic director to a real-life episode of “Seinfeld.”

It took a while for David to fully understand the situation, comparing it to when David quit SNL and tried to come back the next day as if nothing had happened.

“I quit,” David explained. “And I came back on Monday morning and pretended nothing had happened. It was my neighbor Kramer’s house. [idea], a real Kramer. you know what? I thought it could be done. I thought it was a great idea. I thought I had nothing to lose. ”

When it came to his reaction to what was happening at Long Beach State, David wished them luck, the only way Larry David could.

“Good for him. Long Beach State, where is he? Is that college?” he said. “There are a lot of them. Why are there so many athletes? How can so many people play these games? Look at all these colleges and high schools. They all have teams. I am.

“Go to college. There are really good people on these teams. Why are there so many great players?”
