A Las Vegas man was charged with open murder with a deadly weapon Monday night after he allegedly shot and killed his neighbor while his wife called 911.

Eddie Moreno Jr. is accused of fatally shooting Joe Moreno, 47, and a police report describes some of the events leading up to the incident.

According to a police report obtained by FOX News Digital, Moreno Jr., his wife and their family returned home from their daughter’s soccer game and found Joe Moreno near their property. Joe’s girlfriend told police that she locked him out of the house after an argument.

Eddie’s wife told police that her husband pulled a gun from his backpack, got out of the car, confronted Joe, and accused him of breaking into their home. Joe then appeared before the shooting and “began to physically confront” Eddie. She told a 911 dispatcher that Joe “kept exposing” himself “in front of all the kids,” according to 911 audio obtained by . 8 News Now.

“He’s yelling at us while we’re parked in the driveway. He’s got all the kids in the car,” she says, before going on to explain Joe’s allegedly perverted behavior. she told the dispatcher.

A 911 call said “several gunshots” were heard, the report said.

“My husband shot him,” she said, according to the audio. “You’d better come soon.”

Eddie told police that Joe had been looking into his backyard through a wall and that Joe had made threats against Eddie, but police disputed these claims in their report. Eddie warns Joe that he will shoot if Joe comes at him, and Joe says, “He’s coming at me.” [Eddi] While reaching for my pants, [Eddi] shot a man. ”

Monday’s incident was captured on a neighbor’s doorbell camera. On camera, Eddie can be heard yelling, “I’m going to kill you, come now!” According to a police report.

“He understands that. He’s not going to do that in front of my kids. Are you crazy?” Eddie said after the shooting, according to the doorbell camera.

”[Eddi] “Joe was asked if he had ever exposed his genitals, and he did not remember seeing Joe’s genitals before the shooting,” the police report said. “After the shooting, Eddie saw Joe lying on the ground. He stated that he believed his genitals were exposed.” ”

Joe was found bleeding in his driveway by paramedics and ultimately died at an area hospital from multiple gunshot wounds, according to the Clark County Coroner’s Office. Police ruled Joe’s death a homicide.

Officers found five shell casings in the area. Joe was found to be unarmed.

Eddie appeared before a judge Thursday morning and his bail was set at $100,000.

The judge ordered Eddie not to interact with Joe’s girlfriend and prohibited him from possessing firearms on the premises. He responded, “Yes, ma’am,” but otherwise remained silent during the court appearance, 8 News Now reported.

He is currently out of prison, according to inmate records. His next court date is scheduled for August 13th.
