Las Vegas police investigate Tesla Cybertruck fire in front of Trump Towers

Las Vegas police are investigating a vehicle fire, believed to be a Tesla Cybertruck, that occurred outside the Trump Hotel Las Vegas this morning.

A vehicle fire broke out at the entrance to the hotel, according to a police department social media post.

Police said the fire was extinguished and asked residents to avoid the area.

In another post on X, President-elect Trump's son Eric Trump posted a statement regarding the incident.

A Tesla Cybertruck reportedly caught fire outside Trump Tower in Las Vegas on Wednesday.

“Earlier today, there was a reported electric car fire in the driveway of Trump Las Vegas,” Eric wrote. “The safety and well-being of our customers and staff continues to be our top priority. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the Las Vegas Fire Department and local law enforcement for their quick response and professionalism.”

Police did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital's request for further information.

FOX 5 in Las Vegas The outlet reported that smoke could be seen coming from the tower in video obtained. The agency also reported that it had obtained footage suggesting that fireworks may have been set off inside the Tesla Cybertruck.
