Maj. Gen. Oli Godin, commander of the Israel Defense Forces' (IDF) Northern Command, visited southern Lebanon on Friday and reflected on the Israeli villages that Hezbollah terrorists have been firing on for nearly a year.
As Breitbart News has documented, the Israel-Lebanon border route gives Lebanon high ground, which was a strategic advantage at the time Hezbollah defied the United Nations and illegally occupied the border area. It means that.
Israel launched a ground offensive in Lebanon earlier this week and has since taken control of parts of the border area.
The IDF said in a statement:
Yesterday (Friday) Northern Command Commander MG Oli Godin assessed the situation with Golani Brigade Commander BG Adi Gannon and soldiers of the Golani Brigade during ground operations in southern Lebanon.
During his visit, MG Godin emphasized the importance of operations carried out by both regular soldiers and reservists, which are at the heart of combat. MG Godin emphasized the soldiers' continued mission to change security realities and ensure that residents of northern Israel return home safely.
From Northern Command Commander MG Oli Godin: “From where we stand, [Israeli] Communities along the border. Our ground operations here are an important step in bringing northern residents home safely for a better year than the previous year. ”
The fact that senior Israeli Defense Forces officers are comfortable visiting battlefields is a further sign that Hezbollah is in turmoil.
The Iranian-backed terrorist organization had hoped to launch an October 7-like attack against Israeli civilian communities, but its leaders were killed, weapons seized and tunnels destroyed. It is now being shattered, with the soldiers retreating.
