Leavitt says media has been 'blinded' by 'anti-Trump bias'

White House press chief Caroline Leavitt said on Saturday that journalists from mainstream media outlets would bring “preconceived notions and prejudices” to the briefing room against President Trump.

In an interview for the premiere episode of Fox News' “My Views with Lala Trump,” the president's stepdaughter prepares to enter the briefing room, saying, “I know you'll face hostile media.” I asked Levit how to do it. And “You know they're coming for you.”

“Well, first of all, I'm looking forward to it,” Levitt told Lara Trump. “And I enjoy the opportunity to bring truth and facts to the podium.”

“Unfortunately, mainstream media is blinded by this bias, this anti-Trump bias,” she continued. “And that's actually very sad because, rather than dealing with people who are really interested in the integrity of journalists and find the truth of the facts, they enter that room with preconceived notions and prejudices. Because it's there.”

“The president is telling the truth. He speaks his heart in person,” added Levitt. “It's my job to prepare and understand what the truth is about what a fake news story is, and then I just bring it to the podium.”

Throughout his political career, the president has frequently denounced the media for being biased towards him, about “fake news,” and for being the “enemy” of the American people.

Tensions between the White House and the Media Corps raised ratchet after the president refused to use the term “American Bay” after banning Associated Press from Air Force 1 and the oval office. The United States as the Gulf of Mexico.

Dozens of media outlets have signed letters pushing back the decision.

Leavitt defended the administration's actions regarding the Associated Press, and recently said, “If we feel lies are being stolen by the outlets in this room, we will be accountable for those lies.”

On the campaign trajectory, Trump rarely participated in interviews with mainstream media outlets. I liked to talk to podcasters, content creators and other internet personalities.

The White House deployed new policies when entering the office, allowing these so-called “new media” outlets and content creators the opportunity to ask questions during press conferences.
